I am reading Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl as I write this. My sister-in-law told me about Harriett Jacobs, and I ordered the book. It is heartwrenching. She was a woman who should never be forgotten. Her story of triumph and survival brings tears to my eyes. God bless you.
